Speedie Paired Code Mapping to Support Self-Teaching
Try this! The person that can read the text gives the sounds - this helps them with spelling. The person who is less confident reading it points to each word, and blends the sounds their partner gives them.
When they know the word, from context, ask them to map it back. This is something skilled spellers do without conscious effort.
