Speedie Readies: One, Two, Three and Away! with The Code Overlay. The Upstream Team supports the Word Mapping Mastery System®. The pre-mapped Village With Three Corners book series gets children excited about reading in Reception. Learn why this matters on PRE.

Because of the Self-Teaching Reader technology we are building we are no longer accepting memberships to the e-library at this time. All books will be integrated into the new technology. Please order the series in hard copy form from your local library.
Coming Soon! Self-Teaching Reader Touch-Screen Tech
Users can use their finger to teach themselves to read: My Reading Finger

Ask your local library to stock The Village With Three Corners series so that you can read all One, Two, Three and Away! books at home, for free! UK libraries primarily order books and resources through specialist library wholesalers and suppliers, such as Askews & Holts, Gardners, Peters, and ProQuest.
Simply send them the list of ISBNs and request the books for your child. The library is the best place to go, to read the Roger Red-hat books. The Griffin Pirate stores, Puddle Land and the Tim and Tobias books coming soon.

Use the Getting Started Activities before starting the Pre-Readers.
-
Letter and number formation (if developmentally ready, don't worry about this until at least 4)
-
Use the 2 Minute Monster Video to learn the 48 Phonemies® (Speech Sound Monster® Sounds)
-
Use the Monster Spelling Piano® app for iPads to learn the Monster Sounds, build words, and learn the Core Code (phonics)
What matters most is that children can build the word with Monsters toggled on, not Sound Pics® (graphemes), as the Phonemies® unlock the graphemes in the 1,2,3 and Away! books.
-
Use the Speedie Sight Word videos to learn the mapping of some high-frequency words
If you think your child is ready to start the 36 Pre-Readers, go for it!
You’ll need the Monster Spelling Piano® app (£15 one-off payment) to check the Monsters, or the full MyWordz® technology (£75 per year). These books will also be added to MyWordz® so that children can click on words on the screen.
Order the 36 Pre-Readers in hard copy to get started, as it’s always good to hold physical books and turn pages. Or ask your library to order them through Gardners so they’re free for you to borrow. Ask them to stock the full series:

-

-

Need help getting started? Access the VIP Support area and access 1:1 support.
I support a maximum of 10 VIP parents per month. Some only need support for one month and some prefer more ongoing help.
The first month is £399. I send you a Getting Started Pack of resources and grant access to the MyWordz® technology, which you’ll learn to use. It includes the world’s first one-screen AAC for non-speaking children. I also check in with you daily, Monday to Friday, via our own private WhatsApp group. I tell you what to do, you video your child doing the activities, and I tell you how to adapt them or when to move on to another activity.
I’ll show you how and when to use the activities under Getting Started in a personalised way before starting the readers. Your child may not need all of them, or may need extra support with some. I’ll guide you in supporting your child until they’re self-teaching and create resources specifically for your child.
My goal is to help you feel confident supporting your child to reach the self-teaching phase as quickly as possible. I will create resources just for your child as and when needed.
From then on, it’s £199 per month for as long as you need support, and this continues to include access to the MyWordz® technology to use on your devices (tablet, phone, laptop).
This is personalised support from one of the leading experts in facilitating self-teaching for very young children (pre-school) and children struggling to read and spell in the school system with synthetic phonics, including children aged 7 - 11 who are dyslexic.
